Six Degrees Group Dinner & Debate
The Mid Market is Moving to the Cloud: Success Stories and Lessons Learned
Where: The Ivy Market Grill in Covent Garden, London
When: 13th April 2016
Ovum and Six Degrees are proud to announce a dinner and debate taking place on the 13th April 2016, on the topic: ‘The Mid Market is Moving to the Cloud: Success Stories and Lessons Learned.’
You will join a group of like-minded senior industry peers and, over a sumptuous dinner at The Ivy Market Grill in Covent Garden, engage in a discussion around the chosen topic.
The Discussion won’t stop at just that. It will form the basis of a brand new exclusive research report that will be personally distilled and curated by Laurant Lachal, Senior Analyst, Infrastructure Solutions at Ovum, where he leads cloud computing research.
The discussion will centre on the below points:
- Choosing the right cloud for the right workload: What are people using for what? cloud service providers deliver a variety of private and public cloud options across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, with many hybrid offerings in-between. We will discuss which ones are most relevant to today’s mid market.
- The rise of Franken-clouds: From hybrid to multiple clouds, there is a need to integrate, manage and govern various cloud services.
- Increasingly managed private and public clouds: Private and hybrids clouds are increasingly hosted and managed by third parties. Public clouds will also be increasingly managed. This enables IT departments to focus on innovation.
- The many faces of cloud security: In a cloud context, concerns about security (the ability to secure), security compliance (the ability to demonstrate that security has been implemented effectively), and/or regulatory compliance (with increasing pressure around privacy-related regulation) experience recurrent spikes in anxiety and related media hype.
